YES! Atlanta taught me to be responsible and to keep my word and my commitment to myself. I had been kicked out of my home and sent to jail, group home, treatment facilities, you name it, I had done it and been there. YES! Atlanta didn't care what I did in the past. They were committed to me being committed to my future. I am now in school, preparing for the GED. I work construction on the side and have my own apartment. I also have written and recorded a CD that I learned how to do myself by going to the Intel Clubhouse around the corner from YES!Atlanta after tutoring. YES!Atlanta supported me in so many ways.

YES!Atlanta is an 18-year old community-based not-for-profit organization that depends on contributions from foundations, businesses, and individuals who believe in the value of the work that we are doing. Fund-raising is hard work, for there are many worthwhile groups that compete for the donation dollar as government support for these efforts shrinks.

Funds to produce Rising Star comes from the Atlanta business community and other interested parties who care about improving the quality of life for young people and all Atlantans. Our major sponsors are Outback Steak House (through its annual celebrity golf event hosted by John Schuerholz), and The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (N.A.I.O.P), which generously donates the proceeds of its annual networking event.

Donations and contributions-in-kind in any amount are sought and greatly appreciated -- by us and the youth with whom we work.
